New language program for foreign students

DallasNews.AUSTIN – Texas will not have to come up with a new language program for middle and high school students who speak limited English until later this year – if at all – under a ruling from a federal appeals court.
The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals delayed a court-ordered deadline for state education officials to draft a new learning program for the estimated 140,000 secondary school students in Texas with limited English skills. That deadline was imposed by a federal judge who asked that the plan be developed by the end of January.

I believe this is a great learning program that the state of Texas is trying to offer to the estimated 140,000 student with limited English proficiency. This new program will benefit The State Of Texas in the long run with this new program, because as we all know Texas is one of the lowest ranked states as far as education is concerned. For the longest time in Texas, schools were teaching in Spanish speaking students in Spanish which made it harder for them to complete higher courses in higher grades such as middle school and high school, but with this new ESL program English-as-a-second language it will prepare those students better in English in respect to there original background as will as for other foreign students from other countries.
